Choosing the Right Juvederm® for the Job

If you have ever considered using filler or injectables at our New Jersey treatment center, you may have noticed a variety of options—even if you stay within the Juvederm® line of products! You can trust experienced providers like Dr. Robin Levin and her team to select the right injectable for your facial needs, but you might be curious how they make that decision. The thing is, making cosmetic corrections with fillers is a lot like baking a cake: You need the right ingredients in the right proportions to get the best desired results.

Let’s break down three of the Juvederm® products used at South Jersey Skin Care and Laser Center, and see how each one specializes in rejuvenating your appearance.

One of the most common problems for an aging face is creases that form where the cheeks meet the nose, otherwise known as nasolabial folds. Juvederm Vollure® fills out and adds temporary volume to these creases, while its hyaluronic acid formula combines with water to rehydrate the skin internally. Because hydrated skin is more flexible, it can smooth out current and otherwise emerging new wrinkles.

Perhaps flat cheeks and loose jowls are a more pressing concern for you. That’s where Juvederm Voluma® comes in. This injectable filler is formulated specially for the midface area, sometimes called the apples of the cheeks. Replacing the fat lost in the cheeks as one ages can create a rounder, fuller, and more youthful appearance. In addition, regular treatments of Voluma can reduce the degree of fillers or surgical corrections needed in the future.

Last but certainly not least is Juvederm Volbella®. This product relies on hyaluronic acid as a main ingredient—like the other two formulas mentioned so far—but it presents it in a unique gel form. This gel is injected delicately around the lips and mouth to reduce vertical lines and restore volume to thin lips.

As you can see, each injectable is made to fill its own role in reinvigorating your appearance.
