Is EdgeONE CO2 Laser Right for Me? Candidacy and Safety
EdgeONE CO2 laser skin resurfacing is ideal for healthy adults aged 35 to 70 years old with realistic expectations seeking improvement in fine lines and wrinkles, skin laxity or texture irregularities, acne or surgical scars, and sun damage.
It works best and has the lowest risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) on Fitzpatrick Skin Types 1-3 (light skin tones). We carefully evaluate all skin tones to minimize risks such as temporary redness, swelling, or pigment changes. There is some downtime and for optimal results, you’ll need to follow post-care instructions.
If EdgeONE CO2 laser resurfacing is not the best first step for your complexion or timing, we will discuss alternatives like radiofrequency microneedling or non-ablative laser treatment.
EdgeONE CO2 Laser FAQs
EdgeONE delivers fractional columns of energy with refined pulse control, allowing effective resurfacing while helping preserve surrounding tissue for quicker recovery compared to traditional fully ablative carbon dioxide laser platforms.
Depending on goals, you may choose one more intensive session or a series of 2 to 3 lighter treatments. Results are long-lasting with sun protection and a supportive skincare routine; maintenance can be planned as needed.
We customize settings and pretreatment/post-treatment care by Fitzpatrick skin type. Certain tones require more conservative parameters and diligent sun avoidance. We will advise whether CO2 laser treatment, Edge Polish, or another option is best for you.
Light, non-occlusive makeup is typically permitted after new skin forms—often around days 5 to 7, depending on settings. Resume workouts and heat exposure when redness and sensitivity have settled and our team clears you.
